And of course thousands and thousands of Irish calves end up in these hideous places, after a horrednously long journey crammed in a truck with no feed. You don't see that in Bord Bia - Irish Food Board and National Dairy Council dairy promotions ๐Ÿฎ
Well done Eyes on Animals for exposing this horrendous cruelty yet again ๐Ÿ‘

We are told that factory farming is needed to feed a growing global population. But can we actually survive in a world with factory farming?
By 2050 the global population is projected to reach nearly 10 billion, with food demand rising significantly. Development finance institutions, including World Bank Group IFC - International Finance Corporation continue to support large-scale livestock production as a solution, but growing evidence links industrial livestock systems to environmental degradation, public health risks, and of course huge animal welfare concerns.
So the question remains: Why is public finance still flowing toward factory farming, when more sustainable and equitable alternatives exist?

Shocking cruelty on a massive scale. Hundreds of calves starved to death, two drowned in a stream where they were too weak to get out of it. What is really shocking about these cases (there are more of them) is the animals were not all immediately removed after the first visit from a vet. He was also found guilty of causing harm to 30 dogs and was restricted from owning dogs, not banned. Mental health is not an excuse for extreme cruelty. Any cases of cruelty should have harsher sentences and a lifetime ban on ownership of any animals!
